The new queen of Disney TV, Selena Gomez, has reportedly lost her voice and subsequently has had to cancel a few of her concerts. Fans of the actress/singer in Delaware and Ohio who were hoping to see Selena live were disappointed to find out that she won’t be able to perform at their state fairs due to some strained vocal chords. Unfortunately for the fans in Delaware, arrangements could not be made to reschedule and will instead be offered refunds and a free concert from AllStar Weekend. Those in Ohio were luckier as the state fair officials were able to reschedule the show for November. Get well soon Selena!
The electro band The Chemical Brothers released a video for the song “Another World”. The visual effects were made by Marcus Lyall and Adam Smith. The two of them also directed a few episodes of “Dr. Who”, “Little Dorrit” and “Skins”. “Another World” is extracted from the seventh album of the band, “Further”. The album was released in June. The Chemical Brothers are a British duo (Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons). Their influence on electro music was decisive. Inspired by Enemy, Cabaret Voltaire and My Bloody Valentine, the band created a fusion between dance, rock and rap. Their style is characterized by groovy parts, guitar sounds and special sound effects.

The members of Kings of Leon are still talking about their disgusting pigeon poop ordeal in which the band got pelted with feces while performing at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in St. Louis. DMX is going back to prison after violating terms of parole of his 2002 sentence. The artist’s manager confirmed for TMZ.com that the rapper turned himself in to the police of Los Angeles yesterday. DMX, Earl Simmons on his real name, was arrested in 2002 for driving under the influence of alcohol. Back then, he reached a common point with the prosecutors and got a milder sentence. DMX is used to being in prison. He spent 90 days in jail for fraud, animal cruelty and drug possession, and was released in May.
With the help of a few additional performers, Jonas Brothers make a hell of a show in the video to the song “Things Will Never Be The Same”. The song is included on the soundtrack of “Jonas L.A”. The video was filmed at night, and it is included in one of “J.O.N.A.S.”’s episodes. Police reportedly investigated two of Bret Michaels’ tour buses earlier this week and discovered not only pot, but also several other illegal drugs that are classified as Schedule II controlled substances. The rock singer was apparently not on the bus with the illegal drugs and no arrests were made. It couldn’t have been that much if no one was arrested but I’d like to think that Bret would be smarter than that to get into that stuff after everything he’s been through. He should really be laying off that stuff after all the health scares that he’s had just this past year.

Sources say that Justin will play “Jason McCann, a troubled teen who is faced with a terrible decision regarding his only brother—a decision that leads him into an explosive confrontation with the CSIs. It is the beginning of an emotional story that will conclude later in the season.” Let me get this straight – Justin will be an actor for a whole season? I know that he’s a good performer but you have to wonder if he could handle such a dark role.

Aubrey’s new show, The Aubrey O’Day Project, will air on Oxygen.
The Hollywood Reporter have said that the programme will supposedly document the former Danity Kane singer, 26, making a comeback in the music industry.

Despite being injured in a very scary stage mishap during her concert in Nurnberg, Germany last Thursday, the hardcore rock star otherwise known as Pink will not be letting a trip to the emergency room stop her from doing her thing, as the singer has chosen to forge ahead with her European tour as scheduled. Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry suffered some injuries from a car crash in Middleborough, Massachusetts on Thursday. The rock star was transported to Morton Hospital and Medical Center to assess the damage. Luckily, the injuries were pretty minor and he has since been released from the hospital. The crash occurred on Route 44, where Joe was hit from behind by a sedan. It’s good that he wasn’t hurt too bad. I wish him a speedy recovery from the injuries that he sustained. Stay healthy! Lil Wayne could leave prison in November, 4 months earlier than he should. The rapper was condemned in March to 12 months in prison, after he pleaded guilty to illegal possession of a weapon. According to MTV News, Lil Wayne will be released for good behavior, on the 4th of November. Life in prison seems to be manageable for Wayne, he even wrote a few songs while being in prison. Recently on the rapper’s blog was posted his day by day program inside the prison walls.
Ne-Yo has been slapped with a lawsuit from the promoters of his cancelled 2008 New Year’s Eve concert in Washington State. The promoter claims that not only was he not refunded the money for the cancelled gig by the R&B singer’s booking agent, but he also has a damaged reputation. The lawsuit seeks $1 million in damages, to refund the $95,000 deposit and the rest to clean up his rep. Why did Ne-Yo cancel in the first place? If he has a decent excuse, he may walk away with a win in this court and for the promoter to just have his ruined reputation.
Good news for U2 fans! Bono is feeling better and will come back on stage in August to continue the European tour , only 3 months after being hospitalized for an operation on his back. The band was forced to delay the North American tour and give up the Glastonbury performance. Now that Bono is feeling better, the band will hold their first concert of this tour, in Torino, Italy, in August. Also the Irish guys reprogrammed a few concerts from the North American tour, and the first concert will take place in Denver in next year’s May.
Glee fans excited about the upcoming Britney Spears-themed episode of the hit show won’t be kept in suspense for too long.
Series creator Ryan Murphy has just revealed the Britney episode will be the second one to air next season.
Murphy also dished that New Directions’ own Brittany, played by Heather Morris, would be at the centre of the tribute to the Toxic singer.
“Heather’s actually got a terrific voice,” Murphy told TV Guide, adding that Morris would be performing two of Spears’ numbers.
“I heard there’s a Britney Spears episode coming up and fingers crossed that I get to sing, because I play Brittany and I’m like ‘Oh my god, it’s insane’,” Morris told E! Online last month.
