Where fame and success go, lawsuits are soon to follow. Drake has learned that as the singer/rapper is facing a lawsuit from Playboy Enterprises for what they claim is a copyright infringement in his breakthrough hit ‘Best I Ever Had’. The lawsuit, filed against Drake, Cash Money Records, Universal Music Group and Universal Music Group Distribution, asserts that the song illegally samples Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds’ 1975 song ‘Fallin in Love’, the rights of which are owned by Playboy. According to documents “Each Defendant either knew, or should have reasonably known, that the sound recording ['Fallin in Love'] was protected by copyright. Each Defendant continues to infringe upon Plaintiff’s right in and to the copyrighted sound recording.”

Teen sensation Justin Bieber has taken to Twitter to express his disgust at reports that his mother had been asked to appear in Playboy magazine.

Reports surfaced last week that Patti Mallette had been offered $50,000 to pose topless for the men’s magazine.

“My mom is a moral woman … let’s just leave that one for what it is … because that rumor just grossed and wierded me out …”, the Baby singer tweeted on Tuesday.

Mallette had her son when she was 18 years old, raising him on her own. YouTube videos of Bieber singing posted by Mallette helped land the now 16-year-old his first record contract.

Katherine Jackson sued for $13 million

Katherine Jackson is being sued for $13 million.

A South Korean newspaper has filed legal papers against the Jackson family matriach, claiming she owes millions from a loan that was taken out in 1994.

According to a report on TMZ.com, the Segye Times is going after every dollar Katherine makes until she pays off the alleged $13 million debt.

The publication has filed legal papers with the Michael Jackson estate, informing the court it got a judgment against Katherine in 1994 for $4 million.

The newspaper claims it advanced Katherine, Joe and Jermaine $5.5 million for a series of Jackson family concerts back in 1994 that never took place.

The Segye Times now claims that with interest the judgment exceeds $13 million, and it wants an order from the judge forcing the estate to pay the paper any money the estate might give to Katherine.

Apparently Vince Neil from Motley Crue has recently been arrested in Las Vegas under suspicion of a DUI. This is not a new thing for Vince Neil it would appear so the police have him under bail and the amount of bail set for him is a mere two thousand dollars. Just two grand? This is Vince Neil from Motley Crue, not some get-lucky jingle writer out on a night in Vegas in his expensive car. That’s probably why nobody’s hurrying to bail the man out… it’s a protest. He deserves so much more for his great work in the past… the police should know that more than anyone else.

Well, that shouldn’t be a very big surprise. Surely there are many people who want to sue Kanye West for many, many reasons… but copyright infringement? It seems that rapper Vince P. is suing Kanye West and claiming that the latter’s hit single “Stronger” contains lyrics that were the intellectual property of Vince P. Really? Kanye West, the voice of a generation, the genius of the century… a common lyric thief? That cannot be! Simply the fact that this is happening will be an irremovable stain upon Kanye West’s name. No one will ever look at him with the same admiration they had in the past.

Jay-Z spends roughly around $250,000 to spend 55 hours on a private jet and that’s with a celebrity discount. However, according to a new lawsuit, the rapper never paid the entire cost to fly in style. Jay-Z is being sued by Air Platinum Holding, a private jet company which claims that the rap mogul spent 55 hours on their planes back in 2009 but only paid for 37 hours of service. The lawsuit also claims that the rapper flaked out on other payments. It breaks down to 18 hours of flight time for $81,000, catering for 17 domestic flights for $8,500, catering for 4 international flights for $3000, international fees for $8,500, taxes for $12,285 and a luxury trip to England for $24,200. This is why most people just fly coach.

Since the death of Michael Jackson, the King of Pop’s estate has generated a massive $783 million from CD sales, ‘This is It’ theatrical and DVD releases, a 50 percent stake in the Sony/ATV catalogue as well as owning most of Mijac Publishing. I hope that the late singer’s kids are seeing that cash and that it’s not just going to paying off debts or legal fees and whatnot. Mariah Carey ran up a $38,000 tab with a veterinarian who claims that she cared for the curvaceous diva’s puppies 24/7 and even delivered one of them. Dr. Cindy Bressler has filed a lawsuit against the pop singer in Manhattan this week and claims that she provided extraordinary services for three of Mariah’s Jack Russell terriers but that she’s only been paid $8000 out of the $38K bill. Dr. Bressler was said to be in charge of grooming and feeding the dogs while Mariah was in LA promoting ‘Precious’. According to the vet’s attorney, Dr. Bressler also brought one of the dogs into this world by delivering the puppy last year.

Snoop Dogg Shocked About Festival Ban

Snoop Dogg’s reps are saying that the rapper was shocked after he found out that he was dropped from the Parkpop festival in The Netherlands. The festival’s organizers said that they were looking for an act that would match the open and friendly character of the concert and apparently, Snoop didn’t cut it. The rapper’s camp is saying that he has played these gigs many times before and they’re shocked that he got banned. His manager wrote in a statement “Snoop Dogg is astonished by the decision of the Mayor of The Hague, a town in the south of Holland, to not allow him to perform at the free festival, Parkpop. There’s been much speculation that, given the enormous response by Snoop’s fans to the free festival, the local authorities would not be able to provide sufficient security. Mojo, the largest concert promoter in Holland says, ‘We have never had any issues with Snoop, who has played magnificent shows at many of the festivals we promote such as Lowlands, North Sea Jazz and at several other promoted shows by Mojo.’ Snoop is a mainstay at music festivals all over the world and has performed at all of these without incident.”

Jack said “I don’t have much choice in the matter – I feel like a rescuer, a Humane Society employee. Jerry Seinfeld bored with Lady Gaga

Days after labelling Lady Gaga “a jerk” and saying he hated her, comedian Jerry Seinfeld has revealed he is nonplused by the singer.

“She’s talented. I don’t know why she’s doing this stuff. Oh please, wake me when it’s over,” he said.

The comedian’s comments come after the 24-year-old pop star, attending a Mets vs Padres baseball game in New York recently, was moved from front-row seats to the comedian’s empty box.

“I can’t believe they put her in my box, which I paid for,” he jokingly said during a radio interview on WFAN with radio host Steve Somers.

“You give people the finger and you get upgraded? Is that the world we’re living in now?”

Discussing her dramatic public persona, the 56-year-old said: “I don’t know what these young people think or how they promote their careers.

“People talk about you need exposure. You could die of exposure. I don’t understand how this is good for her.”

There’s no word on whether she was trying to get to Kim or Justin but the duo was with heavy security that day due to previous threats to Kim from jealous fans of Justin’s.

But that’s a misappropriate interpretation of what are actually some very heartfelt words on Eminem’s part… after all, not all junkies can rely on getting inspired to giving up their addiction on their kids.

The Black Eyed Peas came in at second place to Lady Gaga as the hip hop band raked in 3.3 million digital downloads. Congratulations to Lady Gaga for once again making history and breaking another record! She is unstoppable! I can’t see an end to the craze surrounding her. It just goes to show that she’s not just some passing fad.

Taylor Swift rocked out a couple of her hits after signing autographs for over half a day of a meet and greet this past Sunday as part of the CMA Music Festival in Nashville, Tennessee. The 20-year old country singer actually went over the announced 13-hour signing time as Taylor was with fans for 14 and a half hours! She later went on her Twitter posting a picture of her arm and saying “They brought me these bracelets and wrote on my arm as the hours passed. 14.5 hour signing. Today was love.” 10,000 fans showed up and she met with almost 2000 of them!

Kristen Stewart recently had an interview where she talked about the music she listened to in order to prepare her for her role as the ‘Twilight’ saga’s Bella Swan. I’m shocked at what the pathetic actress said. Kristen said “I just listened to my normal music. Bella’s less tortured. She’s less conflicted. I mean … it’s the most she’s conflicted about the love triangle [but] that happens sort of at the end. But I don’t know, ‘The Climb’ is my theme song — and I’m sticking to it.” Who would have thought that the edgy Kristen actually likes Miley Cyrus? I would have thought that she would name some random hipster band.

Kate Hudson was recently spotted with Matt Bellamy, the lead singer of the band Muse, in New York last week after reportedly dating for over a month. It’s only been a few months since the actress and A-Rod broke up but sources say that this new relationship is getting serious and that the couple plans to make the relationship public at Britain’s Glastonbury festival later this month. A source said “Matt has been over to America to hang out with Kate. Things are going so well, Kate was planning to fly out to the UK to hang out with Matt at the festival. She wants to watch the band from the side of the stage and meet his pals.” It makes me wonder if Kate had anything to do with Matt’s split with fiancé Gaia Polloni.

Miley Cyrus is showing off that she has some insightful observational skills by talking about what she considers to a double standard in her attitudes about her skanky ways versus someone like Zac Efron. The pop star who claims she doesn’t listen to pop music said “Well, I love Zac Efron, but what’s he selling? He’s gorgeous, he’s hot, I don’t go see his movie because I’m like, ‘He’s such a fantastic actor.’ He’s a great actor, but he’s hot. He’s just not in a leotard with his legs out. He has his shirt off. So what’s the difference? In ‘High School Musical’… he’s in basketball shorts and his cutoff tank top and all the girls are dying. It just isn’t as obvious when guys do it. I was on tour with the Jonas Brothers my first year and boy bands get away with a lot. For girls, it’s always going to be harder. That’s not an excuse, it just means we have to work harder.” She has a point. And if you repeat that to someone else, I will hunt you down.
