Kelly?s upcoming tour in Europe has been postponed due to the fact that the singer is having some throat problems and his doctors have definitely prohibited him to do any singing. This is what R. Kelly said for all of those disappointed European fans: “I owe it to my fans to give them the best shows possible and right now my voice isn’t up to the job.” It would be very dangerous for R. Kelly to lip-synch in that condition indeed…. who knows, people might actually catch on. So even though there is much heartbreak, this was the right call and there?s no way around it.
Chris Brown is literally begging his fans to keep him and his music relevant as the convicted woman beater is using a recorded audio message to spread his desperate plea. The R&B singer?s message is available through SayNow.com, a website in which celebrities can record messages for their fans. In the message, Chris begs his fans to help ?bring me back? saying that ?a lot of radio stations aren’t playing my records. They are not being that supportive and I wouldn’t expect them to.? He goes on to say that he?s ?a better guy now? but says ?[My music] won’t be possible if I’m not relevant on the radio.? Guess what Chris? No one cares.

The top hat-wearing guitar man tapped singers Cypress Hill and Fergie to join him on the song and the result couldn?t be any farther from paradise. I?m pretty sure that a lot of the band?s fans will be outraged by this. What would even possess him to touch that song? Just because he was part of Guns N Roses before doesn?t mean he?s entitled to. Axl Rose must be fuming at this.
Mariah Carey?s new music hasn?t been doing much good over in the US but can you believe that the singer is actually an epic star in Brazil? The curvaceous singer?s Foreigner cover ?I Want to Know What Love Is?, a song that barely got any airplay in the US, has been on the Brazilian charts for 20 consecutive weeks at the top spot! The song has even received the honor of being the longest chart topping song in the country?s history. That?s absolutely crazy. Congratulations all the same to Mariah Carey. The Brazilians just saved your music career so you better do something good to thank them.
I was really upset to find out last year that Beastie Boys rapper Adam ?MCA? Yauch was diagnosed with salivary gland tumor but I?m happy to report that he is now on his way to making a full recovery. Now that he?s well, the band is ready to start working on their new album ?Hot Sauce Committee, Part 1?, which was postponed indefinitely after Adam?s diagnosis. Adam said ?I feel better. It was touch and go there for a while, but I am finally getting my energy back. It was really disappointing to have to hold the record and postpone the tour, but doctor?s orders. We may or may not [release the album] depending on how my health is come September. We want to but we have to play it by ear? We finished the record over a year ago, so we want to take a look at it and re-evaluate and make sure it is what we want to put out there and that we are still happy with it. I don?t think we will change it up too much.?

The Top 8 girls of American Idol season 9 took the stage on Tuesday and I personally think that the aspiring singers finally brought their game up, with only a couple of exceptions. Katie Stevens? did poorly with Kelly Clarkson?s ?Break Away?. Siobhan Mangus made me wish that she just sang ?House of the Rising Sun? completely a capella. Lacey Brown absolutely nailed Brandy Carlisle?s,?The Story?. Kaitlyn Epperly?s ?I Feel the Earth Move? was karaoke at best and definitely a terrible song choice. Didi Benami sang ?Rhiannon? and she absolutely nailed it with her uniqueness. Paige has a pretty voice but she still fails to connect with viewers or a song. The best performance of the night goes to Crystal Bowersox with her rendition of Tracy Chapman?s ?Give Me One Reason?. Lilly Scott did a pretty good job but I wasn?t totally impressed. Who do you think will be eliminated on Thursday?

Lil Wayne has finally been sentenced and has started his one-year prison term this Monday for attempted gun possession. It was originally delayed so that the rapper could undergo eight root canals and again delayed after a fire broke out in the Manhattan Criminal Court Building. Last I heard, Lil Wayne was still undergoing medical exams but a New York corrections offer explains how the rapper?s time will be in jail. ?He’ll be housed with inmates who are classified in his category, and he’ll be able to be a regular inmate. He’ll be able to watch television, go into the day room and congregate with people of his classification. He’ll have no preferable treatment at all. He’ll be treated like a regular inmate.?
Although it?s been quite a while since Smashing Pumpkins had a hit, lead singer Billy Corgan opened up to Rolling Stone magazine about his spiritual beliefs, deep depression and his love of Jessica Simpson. The rock star said of Jess ?If I go, ?Oh, we?re just friends,? then it?s like, ?Did they go out, did he dump her or she dump him, what happened?? It has nothing to do with any of that. Sometimes people just like being around each other, and good things come out of that. The Pussycat Dolls as we once knew them are now over and done for as several members have left the band, leaving lead singer Nicole Scherzinger and group found Robin Antin to take the next step. During a recent interview, Nicole said that she will be recording in the studio working on the next PCD alum with all new band mates. A new cast of dolls is already being considered to replace the old ones. Nicole also said that she hopes that the new album can be released by the end of this year. The rock star bared it all in his latest ad called ?Ink, Not Mink? in order to convince people to ?be comfortable in your own skin and let animals keep theirs?. As a former fur-wearer, the musician has since changed his ways saying ?Several years ago I saw video footage of animals being skinned alive and screaming, and it honestly is the most horrific, inhumane thing I’ve ever seen. Teen heartthrobs The Jonas Brothers are performing a free concert – for a church that helped launch their career.
The band will play the gig in Orange County in southern California on April 4 at 10am.
The boys are helping to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Saddleback Church and will perform at Angel Stadium in Anaheim as part of the church’s special birthday celebration.
A church member exclusively told RadarOnline.com: “They used to perform here when they were just getting started, and of course they were fantastic. We’ve had all sorts of great musicians play on our stage, even Michael Jackson. He used to come by way back in the Thriller days.”

The singer responsible for the rock hit ?Cherry Pie? is a wanted man once again but this time, it?s a judge who wants an audience with him. It has been reported that a warrant was ironically issue for the former Warrant lead singer Jani Lane last week, after he failed to show up to two court appearances connected to his 2009 DUI conviction. He was supposed to appear in court on February 23 to show the judge he?s completed his alcohol classes and community service but he never showed. The court date was rescheduled for February 24 but he missed that too. The singer is said to be in the hospital and won?t be able to make it to court until next week.

There was a change of plans on American Idol this week. On Tuesday, the top 10 female semifinalists were supposed to perform. But due to last minute medical issues with one of the contestants, the top 10 guys took to the stage. Though it wasn?t revealed what the exact problem was, it was revealed on Wednesday?s show that it was aspiring singer Crystal Bowersox that caused the whole switch. I was glad to see that all the singers were able to pull themselves together even though the guys got wind of the switch just a few hours before their performances and that Crystal was able to perform on Wednesday.
Some time ago, the stars of ?Glee? went on Twitter to relay news that they would be going out on tour. It?s been a while since any more details came out regarding it but I finally have them for you. The actors and singers of the hit show will be making stops in four cities for a series of shows to perform some of their biggest hits like ?Don?t Stop Believin? and ?Somebody to Love?. The cast will stop in Phoenix, Chicago, New York and Los Angeles. The list of dates is as follows: Phoenix on May 18, Los Angeles on May 20 and 21, Chicago on May 25 and 26 and New York on May 28 and 29.
A US chat show host has poked fun at how close Simon Cowell’s fellow American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi is getting to the newly-engaged star – in a sketch suggesting she’ll soon be lap dancing for him.
Host Jimmy Kimmel agreed with Idol host Ryan Seacrest’s observation that Kara is sitting closer and closer to Cowell with each show.
And he put together a package of clips to support the theory – ending with his own sketch of a shapely woman wearing Kara’s dress, dancing for a man supposed to be Cowell.
The spoof was screened on Wednesday night just hours after American Idol was aired.
Kimmel introduced it by saying: ?This season – and Ryan Seacrest mentioned this on air, I was thinking it was just me – but I noticed that Kara has been sitting next to Simon.
?They seem to be getting closer physically each night.”

As for the singer?s follow-up ?The Fame Monster?, it?s nearly double platinum in the United States. And if the charts are anything to go by, it won?t be long until that garners just as much success too. Congratulations to the princess of pop! She definitely deserves the title after all the achievements she?s gotten in such a short amount of time. And the best thing about it is that I doubt she?s even reached her prime yet. I?m sure there?s still much to look forward to with Lady Gaga.
After speculation that Beyonce was getting songwriting credit where it wasn?t due, producer Rob Fusari is talking about how the R&B singer ripped off his idea for the Destiny?s Child track ?Bootylicious?. Rob talked to Mathew Knowles after he presented his idea about the song. Mathew said ?People don’t want to hear about Rob Fusari, producer from Livingston, N.J. No offense, but that’s not what sells records. What sells records is people believing that the artist is everything.? But that doesn?t mean that Beyonce has to take all of the credit. Radiohead lead singer Thom Yorke is going on tour with his side project and it sounds great. The band is called Atoms for Peace and is comprised of Flea, Nigel Godrich, Mauro Refosco and Joey Waronker, all of whom contributed on Thom?s solo album ?The Eraser?. Thom said ?ok so in April the other band.. that i got together to do the eraser and other stuff u know .. Mauro, Flea, Me, Joey and Nigel is going back out to do some shows in the US.. ending with playing with Coachella. we had too much fun to just leave it there?it has been decided that we call ourselves Atoms For Peace. hope you like the name.. it seemed bleedin’ obvious.? The band will play eight shows before they hit the Coachella Music Festival in April.
Justin Bieber recently talked to OK magazine where the young singer was asked about the comparisons between him and Justin Timberlake. The younger Justin said ?He’s an icon. He’s very musical. But I’m my own person.? Who the heck started these so-called comparisons anyway? The only similar things that I could see from this point are the screaming fan girls. Anything else is completely different. Bieber wasn?t in a boy band. Bieber?s music is very different from Timberlake?s. And Timberlake hasn?t been on the music scene lately. I?m kind of wishing that he was back already so he can shut these comparisons up.
Simon Cowell is engaged to Mezhgan Hussainy. It’s all but official, People magazine reports.
The magazine quotes a reliable source saying Cowell is happier than he’s been in years.
Hussainy, 36, has shown off a sparkler on her left hand as reports of their engagement after just six months of dating surfaced on both sides of the Atlantic. Cowell, America’s top TV earner, was “very suited” to the make-up artist who emigrated to the US with her family from war-torn Afghanistan. Cowell’s representative Max Clifford told the magazine: “She is someone who is independent and says what she thinks and feels, and he likes that. He’s probably the happiest I have ever known him in the nine years I’ve been working with him.”
Clifford continued: “They have known each other for years. They’ve actually been going out together for the last year. She knows him – she’s been around him. So, she knows the person he is, and he knows the person she is. That’s why it works so well.”

Prince is facing a $2.3 million lawsuit after cancelling a concert in Dublin, Ireland back in June 2008. The singer pulled out of the show just 10 days before and promotions company MCD is seeking for some compensation. Prince is blaming his agents at William Morris Endeavor for booking the event without permission but MCD is saying that the icon gave no reason of substance for the cancellation. William Morris returned the $1.5 million booking fee that MCD paid after the cancellation but MCD also paid $949,760 to use the Croke Park location in Dublin. MCD is seeking compensation for financial loss and damage to commercial reputation.
