American Idol Top 8 Girls Take Stage

The Top 8 girls of American Idol season 9 took the stage on Tuesday and I personally think that the aspiring singers finally brought their game up, with only a couple of exceptions. Katie Stevens’ did poorly with Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Break Away’. Siobhan Mangus made me wish that she just sang ‘House of the Rising Sun’ completely a capella. Lacey Brown absolutely nailed Brandy Carlisle’s,‘The Story’. Kaitlyn Epperly’s ‘I Feel the Earth Move’ was karaoke at best and definitely a terrible song choice. Didi Benami sang ‘Rhiannon’ and she absolutely nailed it with her uniqueness. Paige has a pretty voice but she still fails to connect with viewers or a song. The best performance of the night goes to Crystal Bowersox with her rendition of Tracy Chapman’s ‘Give Me One Reason’. Lilly Scott did a pretty good job but I wasn’t totally impressed.
