As we all know, the country singer is getting married and her biggest wish was that she would have a small wedding where the bride stands out very much. However, Carrie Underwood seems to have lost all hope in her wish as she herself relates: “I started tearing out pictures and stuff. I think I want a small wedding, but I don’t think that’s going to happen.” Carrie Underwood is probably beginning doubt whether or not having a small wedding is good for the whole prospect of it all. Strange though that the family or the future husband have said nothing on the matter, not even a confirmation that Carrie Underwood will eventually do what she wants.
Usher is claiming that his car was robbed in Atlanta last month and $1 million worth of jewelry was taken as well as $50,000 in furs and a computer. The R&B singer and one of his friends were in the AT&T store when someone broke into his car and made off with what was supposed to be Christmas gifts. Usher is particularly worried because of the tracks found on the computer that haven?t been made public yet. If they were that valuable, why would you leave it in your car anyway? I don?t care if it?s locked, unlocked or had a full entourage guarding it, leaving them there was just plain stupid.

America?s attention was captivated when American Idol?s latest season premiered this past Tuesday. The ninth season of the reality TV talent show kicked off with a bang with the premiere episode drawing almost 30 million viewers to the network. Although the numbers have yet to reach the same heights as the show?s fifth season, Fox was actually prepared for the worst. Considering the exit of fan favorite judge Paula Abdul, the network assumed that the ratings share would go way down compared to last year?s numbers. It may not have happened now but it?s bound to happen next year when Simon Cowell will no longer be part of the show ? if there will still be a show that is.
American Idol has kicked off its new season with stars like Katy Perry, Mary J. Blige and Neil Patrick Harris lending their judging talents to panel regulars Kara DioGuardi, Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell in choosing singers who would make it to Hollywood. The first guest judge Victoria Beckham recently spoke to People magazine about the auditions, saying ?I believe in constructive criticism and I am a very positive person, so I always tried to find something good and helpful to focus on, be it someone?s singing, their looks or their overall style. Having been a performer, I know how difficult it is to be that person standing there being judged. I didn?t want to trample on people?s dreams.?
Backstreet Boys singer AJ McLean recently proposed to his girlfriend Rochelle Deanna Karidis on stage at the Hard Rock Hotel?s Wasted Space nightclub. A witness described the scene saying ?He got up on stage and the DJ turned the music off. He asked her to come up on stage and he got down on his knee and she squatted down with him. He asked her and she said yes and hugged him. He took the ring out of his pocket and put it on her hand. She seemed very surprised and didn’t seem to know why he was getting on stage.? Madonna is reportedly back in the studio hard at work for the follow up to 2008?s ?Hard Candy?. For the yet to be titled album, the Queen of Pop is bringing in a long list of collaborators including French DJ David Guetta, Fernando Garibay and Kanye West?s DJ A-Trak. The latter of the DJ?s talked about the collaboration saying ?It’s my production, turned into song structure – halfway between rap and electronic and whatever else I listen to.? And with Pearl Jam?s producer Brendan O?Brien on board with the singer as well, it leads me to believe that there?s going to be some rock infused music as well.
It seems that the terrifying Earl of Exigency actually had his own fears about getting into the US market when he judged American Idol? or so he claims. This is what one of the show?s creators related about Simon Cowell?s initial reluctance to join the judging team: “We took it to Fox and Rupert Murdoch told his team, ‘You want Simon Cowell, he’s tough. I want it to stay tough.’ At first Simon didn’t want to come to America. We twisted his arm but he was worried they wouldn’t like him. Amazing if you’re going to be nasty that you still want people to like you.” Well, when you run so many ?talent shows?, you do kind of get the idea that people actually take a shine to you. However, it seems that Simon Cowell?s brainwashing techniques have not yet failed him? especially since he?s going to take The X Factor overseas.

The former Spice Girl is apparently going to be doing a new gig from now on: Melanie B is going to host the reality competition ?Dance Your Ass Off? and she will be replacing former host Marissa Jaret Winokur. This is what the producer of the show said about Melanie B?s new gig: “Oxygen looked at some things they wanted to change. Marissa was a fabulous host. She was great hosting the show and got great press, but they found in talking to the audience that there was a portion of the audience who loved her and a portion who didn’t connect with her. The core Oxygen audience grew up as Spice Girls fans, so they connect with Mel B.” It sure does pay to have played in a famous pop group, doesn?t it? The boy-bands however don?t seem to have done so well.
Good Charlotte star Joel Madden has paid tribute to his daughter Harlow as she turns two.
The 30-year-old rocker is dad to Harlow, two, and baby Sparrow, who was born in September, with long-term girlfriend Nicole Richie, 28.
Harlow was born on January 11, 2008, and her proud dad said on Twitter: “Happy Birthday to the most beautiful little girl in the world. Harlow makes me proud every. single. Day. i’m blessed.”
Singer Christina Aguilera’s son Max Liron was born the day after Harlow and will celebrate his second birthday on January 12.

It looks like somebody up there sure likes Lady GaGa?s music? or maybe the multitude of other things there are to like about her. It seems that a protest was organized by a certain pastor named Fred Phelps against Lady GaGa, but they couldn?t make the show because they got snowed in. In a much more irrational world we would call that irony? but this is the 21st century A.D. so we?re going to go with bad luck. Still, it does seem that Lady GaGa has been under the watchful eye of the great electron recently? how else could all the good luck be explained.
American Idol’s newest judge, talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, has revealed that she knows she will not be able to ?please everyone? on the hit US show.
The 51-year-old comedienne has replaced former Idol judge Paula Abdul in the upcoming ninth season of the talent show.
Talking about the negativity she has faced from some viewers, she said: “I understand it. I was one of those people that was sceptical, like, ‘Why are they adding a fourth judge? I don’t understand this.’?
She added: “But I do think that [Idol judge] Kara [DioGuardi] adds a lot to the show now. And also, it’s not just a new judge in the place of someone that they loved.
“I mean, a lot of people loved Paula, and I don’t want to be the person that took Paula’s job away from her. Which I wasn’t.
?I’m not going to be able to please everyone. I gave up trying to do that a long time ago.”

It all happened at the grand opening of Vanity nightclub at the Hard Rock Hotel, which was hosted by the hip hop mogul. It?s being said that the boxer went to the party to see Diddy when he ran into rapper Rick Ross. Sources say that one of the men bumped into the other and their entourages immediately became confrontational. Diddy swooped in between the guys and calmbed everyone down before things hit the fan though. Apparently, there?s legit beef between the boxer and rapper for a while now.
In a new interview with Latina magazine, Jennifer Lopez sais that she thought her role in the box office flop ?El Cantante? alongside her hubby Marc Anthony could have landed her an Oscar. The singer/actress said ?I feel like I had that [Oscar worthy role] in El Cantante, but I don?t even think the academy members saw it. I feel like it?s their responsibility to do that, to see everything that?s out there, everything that could be great. Well, it is a little bit frustrating.? JLo may be a lot of things but I don?t think she?s Oscar-worthy. She should work on salvaging her music career before she aims that high.

Wayne?s new album which was scheduled to be released in February when he was going to go to happy camp has been delayed for late June. Why, you might ask. Lil? Wayne remains silent? he probably thought it would be a good idea to keep pumping up the release date, maybe he?ll manage to do his time and be back for a few release concerts, that is, if anyone is ever going to show up seeing the stunts he?s pulling. Pop sensation Ke$ha added the dollar sign to her stage moniker after failing to recoup any royalties for singing on Flo Rida’s Right Round.
The newcomer made download history over Christmas when her debut track TiK ToK shifted more than 610,000 copies – the most sold in one week since the chart started in 2003. She beat Flo Rida’s chart-topping track into the number two spot – which, coincidentally, features her uncredited vocals.
And the singer reveals the lack of recognition for her work on the rapper’s song led her to add the currency symbol to her name – because she was so broke.

This time last year nobody even knew who she was and now she is knocking the world’s most established artists off the album and singles charts. Our styles are different. I don’t know if we could work together, but never say never. It would be great to work with somebody of that talent.?
Amidst rumors last year that the band might breakup, Paramore apparently gave themselves ?a chance to get away and work out our personal issues? and now they are back and better than ever. In order to write their album ?Brand New Eyes?, the band moved into a Malibu house together and even underwent counselling sessions to keep the group together. Lead singer Hayley Williams said ?I was really scared and I didn’t know, as friends, what the guys were going to think, but I was positive… Once we got to Malibu (to make Brand New Eyes), we lived in a house together… So we were away from home and didn’t really have a choice but to hang out with each other, and so we started to talk more and more. Everything felt like it was mending up until the last few days in the studio and by that point we were great, and it felt like we didn’t really have anything to work out in the first place.?
