It takes a lot to impress Simon Cowell and one contestant did just that – and earned himself a standing ovation. Danyl Johnson cheered up the judging panel on The X Factor after a bad day that had left Cowell in a bad mood. 27-year-old teacher Danyl sang ‘With A Little Help From My Friends’ in the first episode of the new series and is already being tipped to win. Other contestants didn’t fare as well, including previous contestant Emma Chawner who returned with her sister.
