Oasis star Noel Gallagher has said he isn’t sure Cristiano Ronaldo could afford the band for a gig after the footballer expressed his love for the band.
The 24-year-old footballer recently admitted he was a huge fan of the band and said: “Perhaps they could put on a little private concert in Madrid?”
However, the band’s frontman Noel, 42, has said he isn’t sure the footballer has the cash, despite recently transferring from Manchester United to Real Madrid for ?80 million.
Noel said: “There’s only one Ronaldo!
“I always knew deep down inside him somewhere there was impeccable musical taste. I’ll be taking up his offer of tickets for the Madrid versus Barcelona game.
“I’m not sure whether even he could afford us for a gig, though!”
