The Jonas Brothers were recently on the BBC Radio 1?s Live Lounge and they completely destroyed Katy Perry?s beautiful ballad ?Thinking of You?. It was utterly painful to listen to. How can they do this? Do they hate Katy? The brothers? rendition of the song featured violins, guitars and poorly placed harmonies. Here?s to hoping that Katy doesn?t hear their version or she might go on a rampage. They totally took everything that was good in the song and threw it all away. The emotion was completely lost. And that was what made the song work in the first place!
Taylor Swift recently had an interview with the Tennessean where she talks about how she loves creating and performing music. The 19-year old country singer said ?I get tired but I don?t get tired of it. When I was a little kid I remember sitting there thinking how lucky I would be if someday people cared about the words I wrote, and when you spend so much time daydreaming about that, I don?t complain. When I go to a restaurant I know a line is going to form in front of the table, but didn?t I used to wish for that? I?m not going to be that girl that wishes for something her whole life and then complains when she gets it. I?m not going to be that girl.?
I could barely tolerate a New Kids on the Block reunion so why would anyone think that another band of the same name will be a good thing? The original NKOTB recently filed a Federal lawsuit against SM Productions, who is 2005, allegedly attempted ?to form a new group also entitled ‘New Kids on the Block’? so that the company could record music with a band that people thought were the real thing. The suit also claims that SMP tried to register the band?s name and album art from ?Hangin? Tough? with the US Patents and Trademark Office. NKOTB is suing years later because they want the court to officially tell everyone that the name of the band belongs to the band alone.
The Veronicas are set to perform their single “Take Me On The Floor” live next week on So You Think You Can Dance! The Aussie duo will grace the stage of the results show on Thursday, June 25th. ‘The E.N.D.’ Marks The Group’s First #1 Album & Their Highest Sales Week Ever!
Black Eyed Peas’ “The E.N.D.” bows at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 304,000 — the hip-pop act’s best sales week ever. It’s also the first No. 1 album for the group, which had previously gone as high as No. 2. Its last set, 2005′s “Monkey Business,” bowed in the runner-up slot with a then-best 291,000. It had the unfortunate luck to come out the same week as Coldplay’s “X&Y,” which kept the Peas’ at bay when it started at No. 1 with 737,000. -via Billboard.com
The singer and actress surprised people in Georgia when she took a break from filming ?The Last Song? and sat in with a band performing at a beachside seafood restaurant and played two songs. The restaurant?s owner related the reactions of those present there: “By the time she finished the first song, there must have been 50 little girls and their moms who came rushing up.” Apparently, they also had a bit of a hard time getting Miley Cyrus out of the restaurant afterwards, the owner relates: “We asked her, `What do you wanna do?’ and she said `I want to get out of here.’ So we walked her to a side entrance nobody knew about and got her in her car.” Oh, Miley Cyrus? promoters will probably be furious about this one. Singing unscheduled songs for free just for the fun of it? How utterly unartistic and unprofessional!
The singer recently admitted that she likes to wear her stage outfits in the bedroom in order to spice up things between her and Josh Duhamel. Fergie said: “Nothing’s changed in that department. I like to have fun in my costumes on stage – why wouldn’t I in the bedroom?” and she also added: “Oh, girl, I’ve got a big chest of fun little numbers, ones that I would never wear in public!” But certainly there is no discretionary force preventing Fergie from talking about them, now is there. This one?s a really odorous invitation to the paparazzi and being master trackers as they are, they must have already picked-up its scent. The hunt begins!

Simon Cowell said Susan Boyle was never pushed into appearing on Britain’s Got Talent.
The judge said: “I sat down with her and said, ‘Look, if this is getting too much for you, you don’t have to go into the final. No one’s going to force you, you do whatever you want, whatever suits you’.
“And she looked me in the eye and said, ‘No, I want to win this competition, I want to give it a go’. That was the decision we all made. No one ever put a gun to her head and said, you’ve got to enter the show.”
Cowell also said that he sought the blessing of her family.

The singer has apparently gained increased custody of her children during her Circus Tour. This means that Britney Spears will get to spend more than half of the time with her and Kevin Fenderline?s children. Apparently this didn?t come after long and hard legal battles, but it was of mutual agreement as the gossip website TMZ says: “Lawyers for Britney and Kevin Federline have filed docs with the family law Commissioner Scott Gordon, stating they have reached a new temporary custody arrangement.” Yes, let Britney Spears hold them for longer, it?s her turn this time, drag the poor children on tour with you why don?t you, it will be great for their development.
While the paperwork that will allow the latest addition to Madonna?s family to go to her new home is being completed, the singer has apparently made sure that her new daughter gets the best conditions possible and has had her taken to a lodge in Malawian capital, Lilongwe, where she will have a nanny and a nurse looking after her. Looks like Mercy is already reaping the fruits of being Madonna?s new baby. But, as always, she?s not going to be a baby forever? let?s see how privileged she is after she becomes a pretentious little girl due to all of this attention.
Susan Boyle’s failure to turn up to rehearsals for the Britain’s Got Talent tour in London has thrown organisers into a flat panic, it was reported today.
The tour is set to open in Birmingham on Friday, but Boyle has so far failed to show for rehearsals, the report said.
Her spokeswoman, however, said she is due at rehearsal today and “she is eager to do the tour”, it was reported.
Meanwhile, BGT judge Simon Cowell has reportedly rented a ?2 million apartment for Boyle and her cat, Pebbles, the report claimed.
Cowell, it said, was paying for her to stay in a north London convent for five weeks. The other BGT contestants were staying in hotels.
A source for the tour reportedly said: “No one knows quite what Susan wants to do. We?re leaving everything up to her, to make sure that she?s happy and well. But the problem is that she changes her mind every two minutes.”
Boyle’s new private doctor reportedly recommended an “idyllic and highly secure” lodging at the convent to Cowell.
The report quoted a source saying: “Simon is looking after his prize possession. No expense will be spared to make sure she is happy and well enough to perform.”
Razorlight singer Johnny Borrell wants the band’s next album to have a dance feel.
Borrell, 29, said: “It’s going to be a different sound, I want to collaborate with someone. I’m thinking a house music extravaganza.
“I was sifting through old things the other day and found a piece of paper with some songs from Carl Barat. That was another era. I wish The Libertines all the best if they do get back together.”
Madonna is proof that you can?t please everyone. The Queen of Pop is slated to perform in Poland on August 15th but the Catholic community there is screaming a big ?NO!? The date happens to be the same as the Assumption of Mary feast, a celebration of the holy Madonna. Members of the Catholic community are reaching out to the government to cancel the concert. However, there are no plans yet to do so. A committee is already being made to stage a massive protest outside the concert. If there are a lot of Polish Madonna fans, that protest wouldn?t mean a single thing.

During the Tony Awards opening number this past Sunday, Poison front man Brett Michaels was injured after a run-in with the set. The singer performed ?Nothin But a Good Time? with the cast of ?Rock of Ages? and as he left the stage, a moving set piece hit him on the head and knocked him to the ground. A Tonys spokesperson said that the rocker missed his mark. It?s being said that Brett has suffered a fractured nose in the whole ordeal. Oh no! His face can?t handle much more plastic surgery. He might end up looking like Michael Jackson pretty soon.

The singer dropped by Maddox night club this past weekend before calling it an early night and heading to bed. Bono and The Edge have used their background as rock ‘n’ roller kids on the outside, looking in, to write the score for the upcoming Spider Man Turn off The Dark,.
“We were open to the idea of musical theatre but Spider Man – that?s a different thing again,” Bono told Rolling Stone. “Because that?s comic books and there?s a whole series of relationships between punk rock and rock bands and comic books. That goes back years.”
Then U2 frontman then added: “But to mess with all these aspects of pop culture, put ‘em in a blender and see what could come out at the other end …?
The Edge said the film’s hero Peter Parker was like any kid who was a geek and got bullied at school. “He’s not from another planet. He’s not been constructed out of some strange substance. He’s a human being, he’s a kid who came up through a regular high school and got bitten by a spider. It could happen to anyone!
“He’s sort of like every rock and roll star’s story in a weird way. In parallel. Every rock and roll star probably started out as the geek who was bullied in school and eventually their form of revenge was to write songs and play guitar. Or to sing and play drums. And some of us ended up in big bands.”
Bono countered that he was more of a green goblin, saying: “Edge is the nerdy guy.”
The Edge said the audience for rock music and for comic books is the same. It’s “kids like ourselves” at 15 or 16 out in the suburbs. He said: “In in our case [it was] Dublin city but it could be any city in America or in Europe. It seems at that moment in your life that there’s this world out there you just can’t get access to and the only way you can connect with it is through music or comic books or movies.”
Chris Brown paranoid over death threats:
The singer who?s actions against his former girlfriend seem to haunt him forever has recently been receiving death threats which have made him paranoid. The Chicago-Sun newspaper wrote this about Chris Brown?s predicament: “It seems the music star has been targeted with death threats the authorities believe are actually legit. Brown is said to be ‘totally paranoid’ about the threats on his life and has become obsessed with his security.” It seems that one or maybe a few of Rihanna?s more zealous fans want to give Chris Brown a bit of a chill down his spine. Apparently, it?s working? who knows, there may be new developments in the case as well after these little incidents.
