Kid Rock is daring PETA to throw red paint on his fur coats.
Hahahahahahaha! I wanna see that happen!
Britain’s Sunday Mail reports:
“I want to go to war with PETA. My biggest extravagance is fur coats — I’ve got every kind of animal in my wardrobe.”
The rocker also slams PETA’s activism tactics — which have included throwing red paint on fur-wearing stars — and urges the group to try the same protest with him.
He adds: “I’m just willing the animal rights protesters to chuck some red paint on me.
So when you think about it and read between the lines. He?s just looking for more trouble.
The question is, is he worth PETA?s time?
After Madonna?s Sticky & Sweet Tour concludes its run in Brazil later this month, the Queen of Pop is predicted to be positively rolling in dough as she has set records for the most money for both a female artist and a solo artist. Congratulations! After wrapping up the European and American legs of her tour, Madonna has already raked in $207.5 million in ticket sales alone. In the end, the Material Girl is poised to gross $282 million. Bow down and kiss the ground she walks on! She?s amazing! I doubt there will be another artist in this lifetime that can do that.
Just because a couple of bands found success by getting back together doesn?t mean it?s going to be the same for everyone. But people are still going to try. The former members of the band Creed are said to be in talks to do a reunion tour in 2009 after a nasty break up in 2004. It looks like money has a magic way of making bad feelings disappear. Despite their crappy sound, Creed has sold 26.1 million albums in the US since 1997. From 220 shows between November 1997 and December 2002, the band made $70.3 million. However, I have to ask if there are even any Creed fans left.
It?s been quite a good year for Coldplay as the group had the most downloaded album on iTunes this year. Their ?Viva La Vida? has been named the best selling album of 2008. Since its release in June, the British band?s CD has sold more than 2 million copies and over 500,000 digital downloads. The number 2 best selling album online is Jack Johnson?s ?Sleep through the Static?, followed by the soundtrack to ?Juno?. The best selling single goes to Leona Lewis? ?Bleeding Love?. The singer sold 3.2 million digital downloads for her song which was followed by Coldplay?s title track.
Britney Spears was all smiles when she greeted a crowd of adoring fans after taking the stage on Britain?s version of American Idol, X-Factor, last weekend. For her first live UK performance in over four years, the pop princess who?s trying her hardest to get back in the groove performed her hit single ?Womanizer? as the five remaining X-Factor competitors gave their own renditions of a couple of her classics. I didn?t even know her songs can be considered as classics. Britney made her X-Factor appearance as par of a whirlwind publicity tour around Europe for her sixth studio album ?Circus?.
Music hit maker David Foster has just released a memoir called ?Human?. He has worked with everyone from Madonna to Frank Sinatra so you know there?s going to be some juicy stuff in there. In one of Foster?s quips about former Beatle Paul McCartney, he said that collaborating with the rock icon was ?a little like being on a bad date. Ten bad dates, maybe.? He also said that Sir Paul was one of those artists who needed to be reminded of just how great they are. It?s hard of thinking about Paul being insecure considering he was in the group with the same guy who said that The Beatles were more famous than Jesus.
Pop princess Britney Spears is celebrating her birthday today with the release of her highly anticipated album, Circus, and the announcement of North American tour dates! Britney will be kicking off The Circus tour this spring in New Orleans with support from the Pussycat Dolls.
Head over to iTunes to grab Circus today, and please visit Britney.com for more tour details.

Lenny Kravitz has just unveiled the video for ?Dancin? Til Dawn,? the third single off his 8th studio album, It Is Time For a Love Revolution. The video was shot and directed by seminal French photographer Jean-Baptiste Mondino who has helmed videos for Madonna, David Bowie, Sting, Bjork and more. The single, ?Dancin? Til Dawn? comes across as the materialization of a career that has spanned almost two decades of classic rock, old-school soul and gritty funk sculpted into a contemporary rock smash.
The fourteen tracks that complete It Is Time For A Love Revolution were written, recorded and produced by Lenny Kravitz himself. The album is available in stores and at digital retailers now.

Taylor Swift has taken the album chart by storm but the country singing sweetheart is also ripping it up on the singles charts. With the song ?White Horse?, the 18-year old was able to score her 6th top 20 debut. That count is just for this year! According to reports, that?s a calendar year record for any artist in the 50-year history of the chart. FYI, she broke the record of the Jonas Brothers with 5. Taylor is also tied for second place with Mariah Carey and the Beatles for the most top 20 debuts in a career. One more new entry in the singles chart will put her in a 3-way tie for first place with Janet Jackson and Madonna.

The Oasis singer has recently spilled out a bit of hate in Coldplay?s way: “I don’t give a shit about Coldplay. We are the coolest band and we are the best fucking band. We are the most important band. We may not be the biggest band in America but who would want that?” Now, now, watch the temper. It?s really sad when somebody gets this frustrated and starts believing such things? and even worse, spilling them out like that. He?s probably just a bit upset that Chris Martin wants to be ?immortalized? in wax. Maybe he should try to arrange the same thing for Oasis, it might make him feel better.
