The Cure’s 4:13 Dream is in stores today. The 13th studio album from the seminal rock outfit was recorded, engineered, produced and mixed at Parkgate Studios UK by Robert Smith and Keith Uddin (Oasis, Madonna). Featuring “The Perfect Boy”, “The Hungry Ghost” and “The Only One” which all showcase Smith’s unmistakable vocals, the band’s jangly guitar-pop and undeniable melodic prowess it is clear that the record is another triumph in The Cure’s storied discography.

MTV2 have premiered the video for “18 Days,” the new single from Saving Abel. The clip was directed by Travis Kopach (Panic At The Disco, Black Tide) and features the band performing on the USS Hornet. The San Francisco based naval carrier won 9 battle stars for her service in WWII.
Saving Abel will be out on tour supporting Buckcherry and Avenged Sevenfold starting on November 4th. Check out the band’s MySpace profile page for all of the dates.
Oklahoma hard-rockers Hinder are gearing up to release their Take it to the Limit album on November 4th. The band has been posting video pieces chronicling the entire recording process on a new widget. They’ve also included video bios on each member where fans can take a glimpse into a day in their life. The band’s debut album, Extreme Behavior has sold close to 3 million copies and their “Lips of An Angel” single was inescapable on rock and pop radio.
One of the most highly anticipated albums in rock history, the long-awaited Chinese Democracy (Black Frog/Geffen Records) will be available globally on November 23 on CD and vinyl (accompanied by a free digital download of the tracks), and as a separate digital album.
Produced by Axl Rose and Caram Costanzo, Chinese Democracy includes 14 tracks. The title track and first single from the album, “Chinese Democracy”, was released to radio at 5:00AM eastern time today. Two of the recordings have been recently released–“Shackler’s Revenge” debuted September 14 in the “Rock Band 2” videogame and “If The World” debuted October 11 in the film Body Of Lies.
“The release of Chinese Democracy marks a historic moment in rock ‘n’ roll,” said Irving Azoff and Andy Gould, Guns N’ Roses’ co-managers, “and we’re launching with a monumental campaign that matches the groundbreaking sound of the album itself. Guns N’ Roses fans have every reason to celebrate, for this is only the beginning.”
The All-American Rejects have just completed their video for the first single, “Gives You Hell,” from their forthcoming album, When The World Come Down. The Marc Webb (Fergie, Maroon 5, Miley Cyrus) directed video was shot in Los Angeles and features an “embarrassing underwear shot” of the band and an “evil Tyson neighbor.” Check out the behind-the-scenes of the video here.
