Buckcherry’s Top 10 Record

Eleven Seven Music/Atlantic Records hard rock band Buckcherry scored their first Top 10 album today on the SoundScan/Billboard 200 album chart with Black Butterfly, the much-anticipated follow-up to 2006’s RIAA-certified platinum 15.

Black Butterfly debuted at #8 on the chart, the highest debuting rock album.

“Buckcherry keeps letting it rip,” said People magazine in a 3/4 star review of the album.

“There’s no denying it, Buckcherry is what in-your-face rock ‘n’ roll is all about.”—Associated Press

Dubbed the Next Great American Rock Band, Buckcherry, who just two years ago performed to rooms of 200 people, are currently playing to crowds of tens of thousands. A full tour itinerary is below.

    Jack’s Mannequin’s highly anticipated sophomore release, The Glass Passenger, is available now. Andrew and the band have also just premiered the music video for “The Resolution” directed by Twilight author, Stephenie Meyer. Catch Jack’s Mannequin on their tour, “Hammers and Strings: An Evening With Jack’s Mannequin and The Glass Passenger,” which is set to kick off on October 14th in Atlanta.

    The All-American Rejects Unveil New Single

    The All-American Rejects are back and have set November 18th to release When The World Comes Down, the follow up release to the double-platinum, Move Along that featured the smash hits “Move Along,” “Dirty Little Secret” and “It Ends Tonight.” The band has just unveiled the first single, “Gives You Hell,” from the new record, and in true Rejects fashion, the track is undeniably catchy with an anthemic chorus that will be sure to send the band back atop the charts.     Pink Reaches Number One With “So What”

    This week, singer/songwriter P!nk ascends to the number one position on the U.S. singles chart with her smash hit, “So What.” The irresistible rocking single tops Billboard’s “Hot 100 Singles,” “Hot Digital Songs” and “Hot Digital Tracks” charts, and is the number one radio airplay gainer for four weeks in a row, making it one of the top 10 most played songs at CHR radio stations. The David Meyers directed video is currently in rotation on VH-1, Fuse, Music Choice, and is one of the top ten videos on MTV.
    “So What” was co-written by P!nk and produced by collaborator Max Martin, who worked with her on “Who Knew” and ”U + Ur Hand. The New York Times describes the first single from her forthcoming album, Funhouse, as “guitar-charged and aggressively bouncy.”

    Clique Girlz Say Konichiwa To Japan

    Plain White T’s “1,2,3,4″ (Audio Streams)

    It’s not often a band writes a song that strikes a chord with so many, but Plain White T’s struck gold, literally, with their hit “Hey There Delilah.” The song, with over 40 Million cumulative YouTube views, catapulted Every Second Counts to Gold Record status and the band to international stars. Now the T’s are set to return with Big Bad World, which features “1,2,3,4” a Delilah-esque love song that captures the sweet soul of Higgenson’s vocals and lyrics that will have fans dedicating the track to their loved ones.

    Big Bad World will be available everywhere on September 23rd.

    Tokio Hotel Snag Best New Artist Over Miley and Katy

The band turned heads left and right when they rolled up to the VMA red carpet in style this past weekend on a decked out monster truck blasting their single “Monsoon.” After admitting that they didn’t expect to take home a moon man, Tokio Hotel were shocked when Chace Crawford and Lauren Conrad announced their name as the winner of Best New Artist beating out the likes of Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry.     METALLICA release 4th song from Death Magnetic; “The Judas Kiss”

    Metallica has just released another song off of their upcoming record, Death Magnetic.
    The new song; “The Judas Kiss” is the fourth, and final song to be made available before the album is released in its entirety last Friday.

    Rounding out the preview of the album, “The Judas Kiss” joins “The Day That Never Comes”, “My Apocalypse”, and “Cyanide”, to give fans a full understanding of what Metallica has in store for them.

    Pussycat Dolls are gearing up for the September release of Doll Domination and have just made their new single, “Whatcha Think About That,” available on iTunes and Amazon. The track featuring hip hop heavyweight Missy Elliott is the follow up to the Dolls’ summer smash “When I Grow Up.”
