No nature loving hipping is going to take a nice stroll in James Hetfield?s backyard but the fence he built to keep them and everybody else off of his property is really pissing off the locals. Several hikers and cyclists in Northern California have been getting their spandex in wads because the Metallica front man has blocked access to a hiking trail by putting up a 10-foot high fence around his property. According to KTVU, the rock star supposedly put up a fence to stop vandalism on his newly purchase land (on which the trail runs through) but the fence itself has been vandalized with the words shame and disgrace.

Jared Leto is firing back on the lawsuit that was brought against him by his own record label. And while he?s a douche bag that I love to hate most of the time, I actually agree with him on this one. The actor/singer wrote a lengthy post on his official blog saying that the band did not call it quits. He also mentioned that the band has been signed to the label for 9 years but there is actually a California law that one cannot be bound to a contract for more than 7 years. Basically, they didn?t quit. The contract was simply null and void. Add the fact that they haven?t been paid and they had every right to leave the label. For a douche, he?s pretty smart and diplomatic. Why can?t he be like that the whole time?
Lily Allen is frustrated that her new album isn?t going to be released this fall as her record label pushed its release back to next year. The Brit has taken to her blog to vent out her anger pretty much blaming her label about the delay. She even talks about the politics in the music industry. But maybe the label knows best. Wouldn?t you rather give them more time to promote a record than to rush something out? Or maybe Lily?s album just sucks and her label wants her to get some new material done. Of all the tracks leaked from her album, I?ve only heard one good one. That should say enough.

The Beatles? historic first record contract is up for auction.
The contract, signed in 1962 by the ‘Fab Four? ? John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, real name Richard Starkey, and George Harrison – tied them to manger Brian Epstein and promises the group one old English penny each for every record they sold.
In addition to the signatures of the band members, fathers James McCartney and Harold Hargreaves Harrison also had to sign their consent, as their sons were under 21 at the time.
The contract is being sold by a private collector at the ‘It?s More Than Rock ‘n? Roll? auction at the Idea Generation gallery in London on September 4.
Manager Epstein didn?t sign the contract himself until eight months later, as he didn?t want to tie the group down if he couldn?t deliver on his promise to get them to number one.
He eventually put his signature on the document – dated January 24 1962 ? after clinching a deal with record company EMI to release the band?s single ?Love Me Do?.
Under the contract, Epstein was entitled to a quarter of the band?s earnings if they made over $400 a week. If the figure dropped below $200, he would only take 15 per cent.
Epstein remained the Beatles manager as their worldwide fame increased and ‘Beatlemania? gripped the US and Europe until his accidental death in 1967 from an overdose of sleeping pills.
The contract originally sold for $250,000 when first sold by Epstein?s estate around seven years ago.
The Oasis frontman ? who has sons Lennon, eight, with ex-wife Patsy Kensit, seven-year-old Gene with wife Nicole Appleton, as well as a daughter Molly, 10, with Lisa Moorish ? admits he was unprepared for parenthood but quickly realized his responsibility.
He said: “I didn?t always want to be a dad. Just wanted to get off my t*ts and do music but once you get your missus pregnant, you?ve got to step up to the plate.”
Um…wise words there Liam.
Despite his reluctance, Liam ? who sends his sons to private school ? insists family is the most important thing to him, and praised his own abilities as a parent.
He added: “Family?s the most important thing. The kids are just the b*****ks. I enjoy their company more than some idiot in a band or some actor. That?s how I?ve changed. I?m the b*****ks at being a dad. I?m top. We have a lot of fun. I?m stricter than Nicole. I?m not Hitler, but they?re getting older, they make a mess, they tidy it up.”
Uh-huh. Do you think he uses that language at home too? Kind of contradicts the “being a top dad” bit doesn’t it?
Someone had a lust for Iggy Pop?s loot as a rental truck that was carrying the musician?s stuff got jacked after a Montreal concert. Thieves reportedly made off with tens of thousands worth of instruments and stage gear that belonged to Iggy and his band the Stooges. According to the Detroit Free Press, one of the instruments was a priceless bass guitar that was destined to be part of the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Having their stuff stolen didn?t stop the band from playing their next gig in Toronto just a day after the incident using rented and donated equipment.

The couples? extreme modifications make them the first official vampire couple of rock/metal.
“Fangs are the new tattoo,? Michael McKnight declares. ?I believe that not long from now, you will see a movement of vampire culture everywhere. Vampires are definitely fucking metal and I predict that the face of rock is about to change into something nobody has ever seen before.?
