Maxim magazine issued an apology to their readers for the mistake that they made after their music critic gave the Black Crowes? new album ?War Paint? a less than stellar review despite the fact that the reviewer had yet to listen to the album. This rightfully peeved the band. Maxim has since posted an apology saying ?It is Maxim?s editorial policy to assign star ratings only to those albums that have been heard in their entirety. Unfortunately, that policy was not followed in the March 2008 issue of our magazine and we apologize to our readers.? What ? no apology to the Crowes?
New details about Madonna?s new album have been revealed. The disc now has a title. It?s going to be called ?Hard Candy? and it has a release date of April 29. The Queen of Pop?s rep Liz Rosenberg, tells Entertainment Weekly that Madonna chose to stick with the sweet theme because ?she loves candy. It?s about the juxtaposition of tough and sweetness, or as Madonna so eloquently expressed ?I?m gonna kick your ass, but it?s going to make you feel good.?? If the rest of the album sounds anything like the 17-second leak of her and Justin?s song, then it?s really going to make up feel good.
The Black Crowes just turned their evil eyes at Maxim magazine. The publication gave the band?s new album ?Warpaint? a scathing review in the March issue. While some may look at it as criticism, when the reviewer hasn?t even listened to the album, then that?s just being plain derogatory. Although no advance CDs have been made available, the magazine lists the album as having two and a half stars out of five and says that ?it [the album] hasn’t left Chris Robinson and the gang much room for growth.? Ouch.
The AP is reporting that the band?s manager Pete Angelus said that Maxim explained the review as an educated guess. Right. How would they make a guess if they have absolutely nothing to base it on?
Johnny Borrell is reportedly trying to woo Natalie Imbruglia.
The Razorlight frontman – who was recently linked to ‘Harry Potter’ actress Emma Watson and previously dated Kirsten Dunst – is said to be smitten with the gorgeous Australian singer after meeting at a recent party.
A source said: “Johnny was instantly attracted to Natalie. He told her he was a huge fan and suggested they meet to discuss working together in the future.He gave her his phone number and whispered that he would love to see her again.”

I didn?t even know that the pop wreck already filmed a new video for the song. So guess what? The premiere isn?t going to happen. A lot of it started right around the time we were gearing up for the RIOT Tour in the US. The first contestant to be sent home was Garrett Haley, the likeable Leif Garrett lookalike. After that, they sent out Amy Davis, a talented but forgetable singer. Next for the guys was Colton Berry, another young one who Simon told to just “get a good job”. Finally, in a surprise move, Joanne Borgella was sent home for the girls.

Kestrel is a powerful teleporter capable of getting the team out of sticky situations after their job was finished. His alter ego is John Wraith. His time as a secret agent and a member of the Weapon X program has left John somewhat paranoid. His house is a veritable death trap, as is the yard around it – John trusts no one.

Bon Jovi have announced plans for a band documentary, appointing an acclaimed director to helm the project.
Barbara Kopple will put together the movie, as the veteran rockers prepare to embark on their upcoming world tour. The Oscar-winning filmmaker is expected to cut old and new footage together for the currently untitled documentary, which was revealed this week by the band.
Guitarist Richie Sambora said Bon Jovi were eager to be seen in the same wide screen light as some of their rock ‘n’ roll peers.
“We just realized that (over) all the years, we really didn’t document enough stuff. We put out a box set a few years ago, but we look at other bands, contemporaries like U2, even Tom Petty and Aerosmith, and they had cameras rolling all the time. We didn’t have a lot of footage like that going on”, said the star, who admitted the project was “a work in progress”, with no official release date.
Ticket sales for Avril Lavigne?s upcoming tour are sluggish ? and that?s putting it lightly. So, the singer and so-called songwriter held a press conference to try and muck up some interest in her new outing. She talks about the music she wanted to play live saying she ?wanted to play fast, fun songs? and even compared her new album to her previous effort ?Under My Skin?. She also talked about the show being upbeat with the production being bigger in the sense that she will have dancers during a few songs, LED screens, a pink sparkly drum kit and flags. Wow. The pink drum set just made me want to buy a ticket ? NOT!
Beyonce flaunted her dangerous curves at the Sony BMG Music 2008 Grammy Awards After Party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday night. The Bootylicious singer showed off more skin than her usual flashy armpits with her dress?s plunging back. However, she knew how much to keep hidden when she kept things covered up in all the right places. I may be getting sick of her being all over the place these days but I can?t help but envy the fact that her body was made for evening gowns. If only she was made for not getting us saturated with her face and music then she?d be perfect.
This was perhaps my favorite moment of the Grammys, although Beyonce and Tina Turner rocked. Rihanna and Jay-Z won for best rap/song collaboration for “Umbrella”.
When the two made it up on stage, Rihanna made it clear that SHE was there to accept the award. As Jay-Z approached her side at the microphone, she held up a hand and kept him at a distance while she made her speech.

Amy Winehouse has been banned from America after failing a drug test.
The singer applied for a visa to attend Sunday?s Grammys bash, but was denied as officials found traces of an un-named illegal drug in her blood following the test at the US Embassy in central London. Pals said Amy, 24, was ?gutted? by the news yesterday, and fear it will affect her battle with drugs.
A spokesman said she accepts the ban. But a pal said she was ?desperate? to perform at the Los Angeles bash – where she is up for six awards – adding: ?It was her main incentive to get clean. It?s a blow.?
Amy is now expected to perform via a live satellite link to the awards ceremony.
The Canadian version of the Grammy Awards, the Junos, have recently announced their nominations on Tuesday. Some personal favorites which include the likes of Feist, Chromeo, Rufus Wainwright, Michael Buble and Celine Dion, scored some nods. While I agree with those nominees, there are a couple that I don?t agree with too. Actually, there?s just one ? Avril Lavigne.

If you didn?t catch the Spice Girls reunion tour during the majority of their dates in the UK or the US, all hope of seeing them has just been lost. Even though they promised to go to Asia, South America, Australia and wherever else, the ladies have now officially announced that they will be putting an end to their run after their last shows in the US this month.
The announcement was posted on their official website last Friday. According to the message, they?re cutting the tour short due to family and personal commitments. The girls said that ?We?ve had such an amazing time over the last 3 months. It?s been incredible being back together and seeing our fans again. We want to thank everyone who came to see us. It was all so mad the first time round, so we?ve really been able to appreciate it properly this time. There have been so many highlights and good times that we know it will be hard to be apart after Toronto. Really sorry if we didn?t get to see you this time round. We all have other commitments in our lives now but who knows what will happen next.?

The whole world is catching the hate on Avril Lavigne ? even her home country of Canada! You know that?s bad. Canada?s national newspaper The Globe & Mail has written an article which basically sums up why Avril is such a douche. They wrote on Avril?s ever-changing image ? from being the so-called anti-Britney created by a record company to the now supposed glam rocker. Then there are those allegations of plagiarism, swearing at photographers and fans.
I guess the last straw for them was the ?Avril in Mexico? show on MTV Canada where it chronicles the singer?s trip to the MTV Latin Awards. She?s unbearable on that show so I?m not even going to talk about it.
John Mayer is very well known for being a douche bag on the internet but very few knew that it can translate in real life. The singer was spotted at LAX airport on Monday. Before he went through airport security for a flight out, a photographer asked him just how he found LA. His smartass answer was funnier than him dating Jessica Simpson. He said that a friend told him that it?s somewhere between Santa Monica and Anaheim. Right. And some people still wonder why he?s being called a douche bag. And by some people, I mean John Mayer himself.
