People have predicted that Kelly Clarkson would be given some stiff competition from Disney channel star Miley Cirus once her ?Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley? album drops. And wouldn?t you know it? They were right.
Kelly Clarkson?s critically bashed new album ?My December? lost the number 1 slot on the US album charts to Miley. Kelly?s last album ?Breakaway? sold over 6 million copies in the US alone and was a certified hit. She?ll be lucky if her latest release even sells a fourth of that.
According to the charts, ?My December? only sold 300,089 copies on its debut week while Miley?s CD sold 322,924 units on its debut week. Congrats to Miley and a ?try harder next time? goes out to Kelly.
