Gorgeous Myleene Klass is eight months pregnant and has an insatiable craving… WORK. Her passion for keeping busy is stronger than ever despite her – perfectly-formed expanding tummy. Myleene admits: “I’m not someone who likes to sit around on the sofa watching TV all day at the best of times. “And I certainly wasn’t going to just sit around and wait for the baby to appear, which is why I’ve been putting in seven-day working weeks.” Yeah, she really working hard and it might be that her baby walks out of her womb says ?mom I am off to work, see you later in the day, do not wait for me at dinner, may me and the other kids would go out tonight.? Being a workoholic is good and it?s a syndrome that has engulfed most of us today. These are very testing times on a woman and she needs rest and care as well, moving all the time means greater risk of an unfortunate happening occuring. She should be careful.

More Trouble in the Britney Camp

As if her life wasn?t already enough of a gong show, each day seems to add to it. It seems that Britney Spears body guard Julio Camera is being charged because of an assault on a photographer on Thursday. The photographer had been trying to take pictures of Spears and her two children walking through a hotel in Vegas. Her bodyguard lashed out at the man, shoving him which witnesses say caused Sean Preston to also be hurt. Britney is blaming the photographer Kyle Henderson for the incident with her son. The Las Vegas P.D. is charging Camera with battery while Spears is trying to do the same against Henderson. The most amazing thing here is that literally every single day in the life of Britney Spears is a gong show. Courtney Love can breathe a sigh of relief. She is no longer the most screwed up celebrity in Hollywood.

The Spice Girls have added three more dates to their upcoming reunion tour. The shows, in Vancouver, British Columbia (December 2); San Jose, California (December 4); and Shanghai, China (January 8), join a roster of 11 previously announced dates, with the Vancouver gig now serving as the tour’s opening night. This is getting bigger and better from the group. This is the fun in regrouping after a long time. You tend to feel there is so much that you have missed while being away that you add more dates to the world tour so as to be with each other for that wee bit longer, catch up on old times share good memroies and giggle on stupid mistakes that now sound so funny and ridiculous. There would be as much fun as on stage as there would be behind it and if things turn out as I think it would be then this world tour could be of the most successful events of the decade.

Kid Rock is priming his first studio album in four years ? and on the release, he finds room to take a jab at ex-wife Pamela Anderson. The album ? due October 9 and tentatively titled Rock’n'Roll Jesus ? closes with the country song “Half Your Age,” in which Rock says he’s found a younger girlfriend who’s “twice as hot.” Kid Rock says he wants the album to make people feel as if they were “going to church drunk on Saturday night.” … Most guy would talk about the great music they have produced for the album, at least he?s got something else to talk about even though it means have a jab at his exs. These pop and rock stars, are teaching us all the wrongs things, why should a person ever visit a chruch after boozing the help out of himself. Are we in a chruch to offer our thanks and prayers or there to show that we are drunken and flashing are toxic heads there.

Metal music fans from the 80s will be enthused to hear about reunion of one of their favorite bands. The original line up from Guns N? Roses will reunite without Axl Rose to mark the 20th anniversary since the debut album, Appetite for Destruction. The event will take place at the Los Angeles Key Club on July 28th. Original members consist of Slash, Izzy Stradlin and Duff McKagan. Even though Axl Rose isn?t expected due to past conflicts among members, drummer Steven Adler believes the full reunion will happen. He says it?s just a matter of time. The GN?R reunion is one that will be bigger than all rock reunions before it. It will be huge and more welcome than previous reunions such as KISS or Motley Crue. Classic rock fans just might have something huge to look forward to if the band members can get their act together.

Rapper Kingston’s summer off to “Beautiful” start

The person who makes you the happiest can hurt you the most just ask 17-year-old rapper/songwriter sean-kingston.jpg.

“I was going out with this girl for two years — the most beautiful girl in school — but she cheated on me with my best friend,” the Miami-born, Jamaica-bred Kingston says about his first heartbreak.

The experience, though, served as inspiration for the record-setting “Beautiful Girls,” from his self-titled debut, due July 31 via Beluga Heights/Epic Records. The single, which samples Ben E. King’s 1961 classic “Stand by Me,” entered the Hot 100 Airplay chart in June at No. 58, and in just four weeks jumped to No. 5, the quickest climb by a new male artist since Lou Bega in 1999.

Kingston, who is the first artist signed to J.R. Rotem’s Beluga Heights label, was so eager to work with the producer that he “wrote a message asking him to check out my music and sent it via MySpace. I kept going back and copying and pasting the e-mail and resending it to J.R. three times a day for weeks,” he says. “I knew eventually he would have to reply.”

Rotem’s younger brother Tommy, who manages his page, weeded out Kingston from the many requests and started to correspond with him. “(Tommy) saw the promise in Sean when he first heard him, so he started to work with him, giving him beats and direction so he could present him to me in the best possible light,” says Rotem. “When I heard him, I knew it felt right.”

Kingston, whose grandfather is Bob Marley & the Wailers producer Jack Ruby, discovered his affinity for music at the age of 10, when he wrote his first song over an Alicia Keys beat. His mother was so impressed that she started to invest in studio time for Kingston. With her support, Kingston spent the next few years penning tracks and recording music, hoping to catch his big break.

“I used to go to different studios, barbershops, skating rinks, flea markets … you name it. I was always ready to show talent and hand out my CDs.” But at 14, Kingston experienced the second heartbreak of his young life when his mother was arrested for tax evasion. “I was really close to my mom, and so when she went away it took a big chunk out of me,” Kingston says. “My sister stayed with me, but then she also went away for her involvement in my mother’s crime.” His sister was released after four months, but his mother is still serving time.

Instead of allowing the ordeal to deter him, Kingston, who chooses not to curse in his music (”If a pastor’s daughter wants to buy my CD, she’ll be able to because I make clean music,” he says), used the events to inspire the track “Prosecutor,” in which he recounts his family’s court trials.

“Beautiful Girls,” which will be made available July 24 on iTunes, sits at No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has sold 593,000 mastertones through the week ending July 8, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Kingston is the No. 1 artist on MySpace, with more than 5 million profile views.

Evan Rachel Wood has followed Mischa Barton’s example by snubbing the Hollywood party scene. The 19-year-old star prefers a quiet life with her 38-year-old rocker boyfriend Marilyn Manson to the night clubs and bars of Los Angeles. She tells “I’m not saying I’m better than anyone else, but that kind of lifestyle never really appealed. I hate smoking and I’m hopeless at drinking. I’m not saying I’m an angel; I just don’t have an addictive personality. Even today, with Manson, I’m happier staying at home watching movies.” I think these words make her the hottest property in the world, from LA to Manhattan, From Tokyo to Buenos Aires. She looks so hot and at 19 she has fun watching movies with her boyfriend and takes pride in telling us that. At least she has a different taste for life and not like the other party girls of Hollywood that either slamming their cars at road interceptions or carrying drugs in their pockets as if it were some candies.

M.I.A. has finally been granted a new U.S. visa, allowing her to travel to the States to perform.

She plays the Siren Festival on New York’s Coney Island tomorrow (July 21).

She had previously been refused a U.S. visa on numerous occasions, scuppering her chances of promoting her debut album Arular in America. It has been reported that her father was a member of the terrorist group the Tamil Tigers, in Sri Lanka, which may have been a factor the U.S. authorities’ thinking.

“It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to get into the U.S.,” she told the Village Voice a few days before she was granted her visa. “I have an apartment in Brooklyn. It’d be nice to go there.”

The singer added she did not think her heavily political lyrics or background had anything to do with the previous refusals.

“Generally, there’s just some bands over here [in the U.K.] going through it,’ she said. ‘I think Klaxons are in the same boat.”

M.I.A. releases he new album, Kala, on August 21.

New Order without bassist Peter Hook after band members Bernard Sumner and Stephen Morris issued a statement today (July 20) saying they vow to continue.

The pair’s statement comes after former bassist Hook claimed recently that he is not working with his bandmates anymore.

Sumner and Morris declared: “After 30 years in a band together we are very disappointed that Hooky has decided to go to the press and announce unilaterally that New Order have split up. We would have hoped that he could have approached us personally first. He does not speak for all the band, therefore we can only assume he no longer wants to be a part of New Order.”

Last week Hook told that the band was over, explaining: “We’ve decided not to work together anymore. It’s been on-off-on for a while and last time we just went our separate ways.”

Sumner and Morris did not reveal any plans about the band’s future without Hook, only to declare that “New Order have NOT split up, they continue to exist.”

James Blunt in songwriting dispute

James Blunt has been caught in a songwriting dispute. The singer faces a courtroom battle in a long running dispute over the authorship of six songs from his 2005 debut album Back To Bedlam.

Lukas Burton, a Los Angeles producer, claims he co-wrote the tracks with Blunt. Due to the claims, royalty payments to the singer have been suspended since last year, reports The Independent.

Burton, who has worked with Paul McCartney and Dido, is seeking royalties for the songs “Goodbye My Lover,” “No Bravery,” “Cry,” “I Don’t Believe,” “I Really Want You,” and “Don’t Lose Yourself.”

Blunt insists he wrote the songs for the huge-selling album either while serving as an officer with the British Army in Kosovo in 1999, at his flat in Bristol, or at his parents’ home in Hampshire in early 1989.

The singer’s publicist confirmed that he and his publishing company EMI are asking Britain’s High Court to settle the dispute.

She said: “This is true. It is all a matter for the public record.”

Writing on his blog, Burton said of Blunt’s music: “His stuff was crude, occasionally laughably direct, and betrayed his relative lack of musicianship or discernible influence…it would probably be an overstatement to say that in terms of his professional musical aspirations James had nothing going on, but he definitely had next to nothing going on.”

Top 40 Disses Disney Stars

It seems that the musical stars of Disney are booming in sales and have reached all time highs. Hannah Montana actress Miley Cyrus recently released her debut album ?Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus?. She has since appeared on the cover of People magazine and many other magazines and media outlets. Though her album has debuted at the top of the charts there is one place you cannot find Miley or her music, Top 40 radio. Even Disney?s smash hit ?High School Musical? cannot find a home among the Top 40. Radio has a real stigma about playing teen acts. Disney?s president of entertainment feels it unfairly locks out the younger stars because radio feels it?s beneath them to focus on clean cut stars. Artists of similar ages are played on Top 40 but also have much racier lyrical content. So far it seems that Hilary Duff is the only Disney star to have eluded this problem. I think it?s time for radio to allow some clean cut, wholesome youngsters a chance to offer some positive entertainment to our youth. We shouldn?t be forced to listen to crap when there are other alternatives out there.

Nikki Sixx, bassist for Motley Crue, revealed details of his forthcoming book Heroin Diaries and premiered songs from the accompanying soundtrack with his new band Sixx:AM at a press conference in Los Angeles this morning (July 16).

The bassist spoke frankly about his former addiction to heroin and other drugs, which is chronicled in the book due out in September.

Heroin Diaries contains excerpts from Sixx’s 1987 diaries during the height of Motley Crue’s fame, and graphically depicts the bassist’s life-threatening struggle with drugs.

It also includes writings from people close to him at the time, including Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash, and Prince backup singer Vanity.

“I felt the book wasn’t complete without other people’s perspectives and opinions on what I was like as an addict,” said Sixx. “They would tell me if I was full of sh*t.”

Sixx said the Heroin Diaries musical soundtrack is based on chapters from the book. “We weren’t writing for radio–we wrote music based on what everybody felt from the book,” he said. The musical soundtrack is reportedly the first to accompany a book, and is due out August 21.

Sixx announced that 25 percent of the proceeds from the project will go toward Covenant House California, a charity that aims to keep youth off the street and provides them with shelter and counseling.

“Music gave me the opportunity to get off the streets and gave me something to live for,” Sixx said

A pair of glasses worn by former Beatle John Lennon has sparked a bidding war after being offered for sale online. The trademark circular sunglasses were worn by Lennon during the Beatles’ 1966 tour of Japan, where the band played some of their last ever live dates. Anonymous rival bidders have already pushed the price as high as ?750,000 at online auction house 991.com. The glasses were given to the Beatles’ Japanese translator. So it?s that translator who would eventually receive a fat pay for his association with the Beatle. Well that person could never have imagined at that time, when he was given the glasses as a gift, that some day a spectacles could fetch such an exorbitant amount. Where was I? If I where that translator then most Probably I would have not taken such care of those glasses and would have probably adjusted them to fit my eyes. Now when those glasses go under the hammer, it will be interesting to see the final bid figure.

Rapper Remy Ma arrested in NYC shooting

Grammy-nominated rapper Remy Ma was arrested Saturday on charges of attempted murder in a shooting outside a trendy Manhattan nightspot, police said.

The 26-year-old rapper, whose real name is Remy Smith, had been sought for questioning in the shooting of a 23-year-old woman early Saturday after a verbal dispute near a bar in the Meatpacking District. She reported to police Saturday evening and was also arrested on charges of assault and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

The rapper’s manager said Saturday that she could not talk and referred calls to Remy Ma’s attorney, who was with the rapper as she reported to police.

“I ask everyone to keep an open mind,” attorney Scott Leemon said. “Things are not always as they seem.”

He said an arraignment would be likely be held on Sunday.

A 911 call reporting gunfire led police to a woman with a gunshot wound. Three blocks away, officers discovered a luxury SUV owned by Remy Ma; the vehicle had been involved in a single-car crash and abandoned, police said.

The victim, Makeda Barnes-Joseph, was in stable condition at a hospital.

Sasha Tcherekoff, owner of the Pizza Bar, said a review of security videotape taken inside his nightspot showed the rapper and her friends having a good time before they exited.

“The police have indicated to us that the altercation happened a block away,” the owner said. “The security tapes determined there was no physical or verbal altercation while they were in the Pizza Bar.”

Remy Ma was nominated for a Grammy as part of the Terror Squad for the 2004 summer smash “Lean Back.” She also earned the “Best Female Hip Hop” award at the 2005 BET Awards.

The guitarist and drummer with Evanescence have left the top-selling rock act for undisclosed reasons.

Guitarist John LeCompt claimed on his MySpace.com blog that he was fired during a cell phone conversation with singer Amy Lee, while drummer Rocky Gray said he was asked by band management not to discuss the situation.

However, Lee said in a statement that Evanescence remains “alive and well” and will soon return to the road with new musicians.

“John and Rocky were in Evanescence for four years and we shared some great times together playing live, but they were ready to move on and so we have parted ways,” she said. “Evanescence is something I have loved and nurtured since I was 14, and I will continue to protect and fight for it as I always have.

LeCompt did not paint the situation so rosily on his blog. “Without any warning or negotiations for my future, I was fired for no good reason,” he said. “We have not always seen eye to eye on everything, but who does? Our common goal was always the same. To make Evanescence the best rock band it could ever be. I have always given blood, sweat and tears to make that happen but apparently that is not enough. I have now become just another of the people fallen by the wayside on the revolving door of her life.”

Lee said no shows would be canceled due to the lineup shift, but the group won’t have long to draft replacements for LeCompt and Gray. It is due to return to the stage May 19 at the first Rock on the Range festival in Columbus, Ohio, and has European dates on tap through late June.

Prince CD giveaway angers music industry

prince1.jpg

Prince has angered the music industry and stirred up trouble among British retailers by giving away his new album with a tabloid newspaper this weekend.

“Planet Earth” will be packaged with the Mail on Sunday at a price of $2.80.

The giveaway has been roundly criticized as a major blow for an industry already facing rapidly declining CD sales. It has led Sony BMG U.K., Prince’s local label, to pull the plug on its own sales release of the CD in Britain.

International sales launch for “Planet Earth” is July 16; the U.S. launch is July 24.

“The Artist formerly known as Prince should know that with behavior like this he will soon be the Artist Formerly Available in Record Stores,” said Paul Quirk, co-chairman of the Entertainment Retailers Association, referring to a period in the 1990s when the singer famously stopped using his name to protest a binding record deal.

“It is an insult to all those record stores who have supported Prince throughout his career,” Quirk said.

A publicist for Prince’s record label said the 49-year-old singer-songwriter wasn’t doing interviews.

“Like it or not, selling the newspaper is the only way to make the Prince album available to our customers,” HMV said.

Rival retailers were outraged.

“We’re stunned that HMV has decided to take what appears to be a complete U-turn on their stance,” said Simon Douglas, managing director of retail at Virgin Megastores. “It’s not only retailers that suffer; the public will suffer in the long term by restricting choice on the high street.”
